After a struggle of 5 whole years, some where there was just a little fiddling, some where working 12 hours each day was common, a passion project has finally been completed. To finally have it done, to finally see it on it's unstoppable path of release, it fills me with what I can only describe as a trail mix back of emotions. Disbelief, joy, exhaustion, pride, makes one wish there was a word for mixed emotions like that.

I'll put the name of the game at the end, but I don't want this to be a promotional post, but an enlightment post for all those who have een struggling and continue to struggle with art. Please, take it from me, don't give up. You can do it. When years go by and it seems like progress is too slow, when family, friends, or both hold little to no care for your work, when it seems it all amounts to nothing but time waisted, don't give in. Don't punish yourself if it hits you for a little while. Giving up is only giving up when you're no longer on the track, not when your stopped on it. I say this because all of this I've survived through and want to pass on the strength to those who are struggling now. Whoever has that project, announce it loud and proud! Give it life that it deserves! For all ideas deserve that life, cause it came from ours! I don't know if this attempt at poetic inspiration will help, but hopefully it will.

Hiya everyone reading this!

So we all have those projects that we have been thinking about, working on, for what seems like ages and always wonder if it'll ever get done! I'm here with a message to everyone with one of those projects, to those who have poured the endless nights into it, the eye crusted hours, the carpal tunneled wrists into making it, to finally get the weight off your back. Yes, I'm saying release it, get it out there as soon as possible, put the finishing touches publish it. I know what you're thinking, what's going on in that creative mind of yours, the mind that wants to make your prized possesion, your life's work, into the greatest work you'll ever make. You're saying it's not ready, it needs just a few more things, it needs a better me to make it the what I dream it to be. But listen to me when I say the dream IS getting it out there. What is a game without another person being able to playit? What is painting if no one else can see it? What is music if no one else can hear it? You have made the project for others to enjoy, so let them enjoy it so they may enjoy other projects that you can create! However, they may not be able to enjoy it if you have the weight of that project on your back. It's the whale that you want to catch, like ol' Ahab! But that whale could bring us down with it if we let it weigh us down for too long! This is a message of caution because I have had a whale project weigh me down for 5 years! But I'm finally letting it off my back and the feeling is wonderful! So I urge those who are afraid of letting go fo that whale, I plead for all to let it go! Let it into the sea of creativity! Even if it isn't your best work, your best work is never the one that you've just released, it's the one that always comes next!

Keep that creativity boat sailing!

Hey everyone!

I'm preparred to ask Musical Composers to help with a game soundtrack, but I'm having trouble coming up with a fair asking price per track! Most are 2.5 minute loops! Now, I'm thinking somewhere around $30, but it's not my fixed price because I really have no idea what is a fair asking, so if I can get some input, that would be great! Now, as for animation, I have nooooo idea! I have concept art finished for most of what I'm looking for! Each animation I'm looking for is anywhere between 50x50 to 300x300 pixels! The style is something around the quality of Super Nintendo graphics, if that helps!

So considering the fact that our first game actually did something good, I decided to write my first post on my page! So hi fellow followers! Thank you again for playing Launch! It was a struggle to make, but it was a struggle of joys and smiles as we made it! However, a few of you were concerned with some lack of content and that made me think of a questions I'd like to ask!

Would adding more story help the game? As a writer, I've always been taught to show don't tell and give the reader just enough so the reader fill in the blanks with their imagination! This helps the reader make their interpertation of the story their own and personal! For instance, in Launch, the threat was not confirmed of what exactly it is, but all that's needed is that it's going to destroy the earth and only 20 missiles can stop it! I felt as if no more information is really needed since it wouldn't add or decrease from those two important facts! I would love to hear your thoughts!
